So I pull out my ingredients which pretty much turn out to be Milk, an egg and a couple of slices of bread and I’m thinking to myself I’m going to make French Toast. So I also grab my Vanilla Extract and some Cinnamon powder. And here we go!
So in my bowl I mixed together one egg, a bit of milk (I didn't measure just poured a little bit at a time until it looked acceptable) a small amount of Vanilla extract and a small amount of Cinnamon powder and ta-da.
I know it looks really appetizing doesn't it. At this point I'm hoping this turns out as I'm getting really hungry, but hey! There's always Raisin Bran to fall back on.

So next I dip the slice of bread in the mixture, flip it around and dip the other side and then place it into the frying pan. I figured with the size of my frying pan I can do two pieces at once. That's right all about time management here!
Maybe I didn't leave it long enough or maybe I need to push it down with the spatula.
So I push both sides down with the Spatula a bit and then flip them over again to see if I can correct the ugliness that as happened to my food.
It seems that pushing down with the Spatula has actually helped. Check this out, I'm learning as I go. :0)
I had a little bit of the egg mixture left in the bowl, which turned out to be just enough for one more piece of bread which fried up much nicer now that I figured out the Spatula secret.
My French toast is complete! If I do say so myself, it didn't look as bad as I thought it may. Now for the taste test. It tasted okay, nothing special or as good as my taste buds have been spoiled with (damn Milestones, their Strawberry French Toast is to die for!) but I will attempt it again. I think it would have been much better with a little bit of fruit and a sprinkle of icing sugar or something. :0)
Anyway that's my first attempt at cooking for 2010!
